charming cafĂ©/bistro, with staff and a menu to match. Mouthwatering pies and cakes. The carrot cake was the best I’d eaten in a long time. Both their berry compote and onion marmelade are for sale, and I took both home as a treat

My wife and I had the most fantastic roast pork yesterday 23rd April. We are looking forward to going again and trying their award winning pies.

Bought some of your pies earlier today. They are excellent. I have lived in the UK for 25 years+ . Struggle to tasting a better pie than your beef and ale.

What a find! Quite simply had the best lunch for years! – and very reasonably priced.
Staff cannot be more helpful, and one suspects the chef has settled down to work a business in this beautiful, quiet and idyllic location, after top-class training and experience in some hectic metropolis.

We have just had the absolute best Sunday lunch there, all of the staff were brilliant and friendly, we even took away some of their delicious pies.
An amazing find for us and we will definitely be going back again.

What a discovery on a cold day in January-pies made with the crispiest of pastry and filled with the most delicious smoked haddock and leeks in a cheese sauce -served with a very healthy helping of salad ..We will be back to stock up our freezer

I would like to give a 5 star rating on Google, as the food, service and cleanliness were great. However I’ve only given a 2 star at the moment as we travelled some miles to get to you, to have breakfast, we got there at 11.05, your website clearly says 11.30 so when we we were told it stopped at 11 we were disappointed, however the lady went the extra mile to help with an alternative. Please change your breakfast time on website to 11 and then others like us won’t be disappointed. 5 stars waiting. We also bought some pies. They too were delicious.

One of your pies makes a holiday. Two could mend a broken arm. We would give up our home and change our names for three of your pies, as long as you throw one of the beef & stilton masterpieces into the mix. Good pies.

Amazing! Wonderful Sunday lunch of slow-cooked melt in the mouth brisket. Came away with 2 of the sensational craft home-made pies. Just lovely.
